Join us in welcoming Andrew Geier to our Engineering Team! Prior to Kipsu, Andrew was at The Software Guild learning development. Andrew enjoys hiking, camping and eating- ideally all three at the same time! We're so excited to have him a part of the Kipsu team and asked him to chat about his experience at Kipsu so far.
What drew you to Kipsu in contrast to other companies?
I was initially drawn to Kipsu because of their culture and how positive everyone I met here was, but I quickly came to appreciate how open and honest their communication is with everyone as well. I've never worked with a company who's executive team communicates immediately and personally with even their newest hires about any aspect of the business I might ask about.
What were some things you noticed about the Kipsu team during your first week?
How helpful everyone is! I've never felt like I couldn't ask a question and everyone takes the time to answer my questions thoroughly.
What challenges are you looking forward to tackling in your work at Kipsu?
Learning new programming languages and getting familiar with the largest codebase I've ever worked with! Coming out of a programming boot camp meant that I learned the skills to program, but don't have the experience of working with software of any real size.
What is your favorite Kipsu core value?
If you could meet any person for a chat over a shared dinner, who would you pick and why?
This one is really hard but I'd probably have to go with David Lynch, one of my favorite directors. He seems to see the world in such a different way and I'd love to hear more about his perspective.
