Join us in welcoming Baberich Abendan to the third round of Kipsu's Entrepreneurship Leadership Rotational Program, the Gamma Cohort! Baberich attended St. Olaf College majoring in Political Science, as well as a concentration in Management Studies. Outside of work, Baberich enjoys giving new hobbies a whirl and watching short documentaries. We're thrilled to have him join the Kipsu team and asked Baberich to share his experience with Kipsu so far.
What drew you to Kipsu in contrast to other companies?
Kipsu’s culture is what made me want to be a Kipsuvian. I know that I thrive in environments where there’s a lot of collaboration. Although my interview visits in Kipsu were brief, I saw how Kipsuvians communicate and work together.
What were some things you noticed about the Kipsu team during your first week?
There’s a lot of open feedback from others within and across teams. Regardless of how long someone has been a part of Kipsu, they either ask or give feedback. This really helps us to continuously grow and learn more everyday.
What challenges are you looking forward to tackling in your work at Kipsu?
I think the biggest challenge for me will be my rotation on to the Product Analyst (Engineering) team. I haven’t got much experience in that department, but I’m looking forward to being a part of their team!
What is your favorite Kipsu core value?
Pursue Relentlessly. Life throws us a lot of adversities, but not a lot of great things will happen if we just succumb to it. We just need to keep trying until we get that one break that we need and deserve.
If you could meet any person for a chat over a shared dinner, who would you pick and why?
Anyone from Bon Appetit’s Test Kitchen works for me. They seem to be a pretty cool team and I’d love to learn about how they found themselves at the Test Kitchen.
What made you choose to apply for the Entrepreneurship Leadership Rotation Program?
I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do post-graduation. I thought that the Rotation Program is perfect for me because I’ll experience different roles in a company and see which one is the best fit.
