Join us in welcoming Carlos Espinoza as an intern to our Engineering Team! Prior to Kipsu, Carlos was tennis pro at a Lifetime and currently attends Augsburg University. Outside of work, Carlos enjoys working out and cooking, his favorite workout outlets are playing tennis, rock climbing, and dancing, especially Lindy Hop and solo jazz. We're excited to have him join the Kipsu team and asked Carlos to share his experience with Kipsu so far.
What drew you to Kipsu in contrast to other companies?
I loved the atmosphere from the moment I entered the office with everyone being so nice and having a great company culture and community. It was an easy choice when I chose where I wanted to work.
What were some things you noticed about the Kipsu team during your first week?
Everyone is super helpful and they want you to succeed as much as you hope to. They have answered all the questions I've had so far.
What challenges are you looking forward to tackling in your work at Kipsu?
I am looking forward to learning a lot of different coding languages and programs, and getting to use them on problems, bugs and projects.
What is your favorite Kipsu core value?
My favorite Kipsu core value is Never Be Satisfied because I am a big believer in the idea that the best way to improve yourself is to be humble and learn as many things as you can. You will never run out of things to learn.
If you could meet any person for a chat over a shared dinner, who would you pick and why?
I would pick President Barack Obama because he is such an interesting individual being the first black president and just a great person overall. I would also want to play him 1-on-1 on the basketball court before or after dinner.
