Join us in welcoming Jack Cunningham to our Entrepreneurial Leadership Rotation Program! Prior to Kipsu, Jack studied Business Entrepreneurship at the University of St. Thomas. In his free time, Jack enjoys running with his dog Walter and exploring new craft breweries! We're so excited to have him a part of the Kipsu team and asked him to chat about his experience at Kipsu so far.
What drew you to Kipsu in contrast to other companies?
Kipsu's entrepreneurial spirit is really what drew me. The agility and intentionality behind each job function is something that was not found anywhere else. I saw clearly how empowered each individual employee was and I wanted to ensure that my work is always of value.
What were some things you noticed about the Kipsu team during your first week?
Kipsu is full of motivated and scrappy individuals. It was fun to see how well everyone played into each other's strengths. The team atmosphere paired with each individual's desire to learn fused so well together. When help was needed to fill gaps, complete tasks, and conquer problems, there was a very unique team approach that was fueled by curiosity.
What challenges are you looking forward to tackling in your work at Kipsu?
I enjoy rolling with the punches and am excited to tackle the unexpected. I am confident that I will encounter many off-the-wall challenges and will be able to navigate through new problems and experiences with the team's guidance.
What is your favorite Kipsu core value?
Pursue Relentlessly - Determination and fortitude are two of the qualities I admire the most in others.
If you could meet any person for a chat over a shared dinner, who would you pick and why?
This is a very tough question but Guy Raz would be a top 5 contender. I am a huge fan of nerdy business podcasts and Guy happens to hosts a number of them. I am specifically addicted to his show, How I Built This, highlighting the early growth stories of innovative businesses. He has interviewed countless admirable entrepreneurs. It would be such a unique opportunity to hear these stories and be able to get a grasp for these entrepreneurs on a personal level through Guy.
